DISMORPHIA (2024)
I directed this short-film featuring Chiara Tranvouez, the main actress. We wrote the scenario and edited the film together. I also managed to be in charge of the filming and sound on set. Finally, I did the different animations.
We had the chance to participate to a little film festival called Les Z'Expressives located in Salon-de-Provence (France). We won a prize for audacity and singularity from the jury.
This short-film depicts the interiority of a young girl who struggles with her mental health. We tried to picture some of her ideas and brieve moments of her life using 2D animation. We wanted to bring a universal message to the audience. The goal was to speak out about young people with mental disabilities in the first place, and to let their emotion talk in the second place. There is only one character, and we see the whole film through her eyes. This is the way we choose for the audience to feel empathy for the ones that they may not understand, or judge.
